Currently, there are 58 universities with which the Faculty of Fine Arts of Tokyo University of the Arts is collaborating overseas, and we have been conducting exchanges that make use of the expertise of faculty members, but since last year it has become difficult to exchange with overseas due to the corona disaster. .. Under such circumstances, I wanted to hold an exchange program with overseas partner schools that makes the most of online. I would also like to share the current situation of overseas universities. The tea ceremony of "TURN Tea Ceremony" is regarded as "a place to exchange feelings with each other" (no tea is actually made). The theme of the tea ceremony is "Ask the earth and people with art." I think that it is possible to talk as a "person" that transcends the "country" that can be talked about because of the universal consciousness that is experiencing the corona disaster. I am also wondering if there will be a workshop (development that involves some action).
Since 2018, Tokyo University of the Arts has been supporting "art activities for social issues" in each country in the TURN project in collaboration with overseas universities. By having "questioning the earth and people with art" as a universal theme of modern coronavirus, we would like to develop this program as part of the TURN project and continue to support overseas cooperation.

At the "TURN Tea Ceremony," which has the theme of "questioning the earth and people with art," 12 tea rooms will be set up at the venue, and works will be exhibited and workshops will be held in each tea room.
There is an "online talk with overseas" tea room in the center of the venue. Here, the supervisor, Katsuhiko Hibino, will act as a facilitator, and along with the faculty members and students of this faculty, we will welcome faculty members and students from overseas international exchange agreement schools as guests online for dialogue and exchange. A live stream with an interpreter will be provided, in which different faculty members and exchange destinations will attend on a daily basis and exchange opinions from a perspective that makes the most of each specialized field.
In the 11 tea rooms around it, artists who have been active in TURN overseas from 2016 to 19 will exhibit their works and hold workshops with visitors. The sea will be created by pasting blue paper on the floor of the venue, which is lined with cardboard, and each tea room, that is, the country, will be connected by the sea.
