International exchange chakai by Tokyo University of the Arts and its overseas partner institutions
Tokyo University of the Arts has been conducting exchange programs capitalising the faculty members’ speciality with 58 overseas institutions.
We now face difficulty in the programs due to the recent Covid-19 pandemic.
Under these circumstances, this online event will resume exchange activity with our partner institutions, sharing current situations surrounding arts and institutions in your and our countries.
The theme of the ceremony will be ‘to question the Earth and Humanity with Art’. We believe that there must be a dialogue as humans, beyond the border, in this particular moment in which humans have been experiencing a worldwide common issue.
The program is a part of TURN project; Tokyo University of the Arts has been conducting the project collaborating with foreign institutions since 2018 where we have supported Art activities concerning social issues of each country. By ‘questioning the Earth and Humanity with Art’ as a common theme of the world under the contemporary pandemic, we faculty of Fine Arts aim to support our successive friendship developing this program as part of TURN project.
The online talk held along to the below Timetable will offer a platform of dialogue between faculty members of Tokyo University of the Arts and its partner institutions.
Katsuhiko HIBINO, the dean of the faculty of Fine Arts, will be facilitator through translation.
The talk is expected to be lively broadcasted on YouTube.
